Amy Poehler
Amy Poehler (born September 16, 1971) is an American actress, comedian, writer, producer, and director. She co-founded the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade and co-founded the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. Poehler joined the sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL) in 2001 and served as co-anchor of the show's news parody segment, Weekend Update, from 2004 to 2008. She left SNL to star as Leslie Knope in the sitcom Parks and Recreation, which she also produced. Poehler has appeared in movies such as Mean Girls, Baby Mama, and Inside Out. She is an executive producer on several television series including Welcome to Sweden, Broad City, and Difficult People.
