Andy Ricker

Andy Ricker (born 1963) is an American chef, restaurateur, and cookery writer, known for his expertise in northern Thai cuisine. He began his culinary career as a dishwasher in Vermont and gained experience by working in various restaurants in countries like New Zealand, Australia, and Thailand. Ricker's first visit to Thailand was in 1987, and since 1992, he has spent several months each year studying Thai food culture. He has opened several restaurants, including Pok Pok in Portland, Ping, Whiskey Soda Lounge, Pok Pok Noi, Pok Pok Wing (now Pok Pok Phat Thai), Pok Pok Ny, Sen Yai, Whiskey Soda Lounge Ny, Pok Pok Phat Thai LA, and Pok Pok LA.
