Anthony Ramos

Anthony Ramos Martinez, born on November 1, 1991, is an American actor and singer. He gained recognition after originating the roles of John Laurens and Philip Hamilton in the Broadway musical Hamilton. Ramos graduated in musical theatre from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series or Movie for his performance in the 2020 stage recording of Hamilton. Ramos appeared in the supporting role in A Star Is Born (2018) and starred in the musical film In the Heights (2021), earning him a Golden Globe Award nomination. He will also star in the upcoming action film Transformers: Rise of the Beasts (2023).
