Ariela Barer (born October 14, 1998) is an American actress best known for her role as Gert Yorkes in the Hulu original series Runaways. She began her acting career at the age of three and went on to star in various projects. Barer is also a member of the indie rock band The Love-Inns. She has appeared as Carmen in One Day at a Time and as Bailey Bennett in Atypical. Barer's parents are Mexican-born Jews, and she has an older sister, Libe Barer, who is also an actress. On November 3, 2016, Barer publicly came out as lesbian and uses she/her and they/them pronouns.
