Nora Lum, professionally known as Awkwafina, is an American actress, rapper, and comedian. She gained fame in 2012 with her rap song 'My Vag' on YouTube. Awkwafina released her debut album, Yellow Ranger, in 2014 and appeared on the MTV comedy series Girl Code from 2014 to 2015. She ventured into films with supporting roles in comedies like Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, Ocean's 8, Crazy Rich Asians, and Jumanji: The Next Level. In 2019, she won a Golden Globe Award for her starring role in The Farewell. Awkwafina is also the co-creator, writer, and executive producer of the Comedy Central series Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, where she portrays a fictionalized version of herself. She portrayed Katy in the 2021 Marvel film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
