Barbara Eden

Barbara Eden, born Barbara Jean Morehead on August 23, 1931, is an American actress known for her role as Jeannie in the sitcom I Dream of Jeannie (1965–1970). She also appeared as Roslyn Pierce in Flaming Star (1960) opposite Elvis Presley and as Lieutenant jg Cathy Connors in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1961). Eden portrayed single widowed mother Stella Johnson in the film Harper Valley PTA (1978), which led to a two-season television series of the same name. Eden was born in Tucson, Arizona, and later moved to San Francisco with her mother. She is a descendant of Benjamin Franklin.
