Barrie Ingham Biography
Barrie Stanton Ingham (10 February 1932 – 23 January 2015) was an English actor known for his work in television, stage, and film. Born in Halifax, West Yorkshire, Ingham was educated at Heath Grammar School before becoming a Royal Artillery officer. He made his debut with the Library Theatre Company in Manchester before moving to London's Old Vic. Ingham also performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, Mermaid Theatre Company, and Royal National Theatre. With over 200 British and American film and TV credits, Ingham's notable roles include Robin Hood in 'A Challenge for Robin Hood' (1967) and Sejanus in Granada TV's 'The Caesars' (1968). He also portrayed an ambitious government minister in 'The Power Game' (1969) and played the lead role in the series 'Hine' (1971).
