Bethenny Frankel (born November 4, 1970) is an American television personality, entrepreneur, and author. She gained recognition as the runner-up on the NBC reality competition series The Apprentice: Martha Stewart in 2005. Frankel is widely known as an original cast member of the Bravo reality television series The Real Housewives of New York City, appearing in eight of its 14 seasons since its 2008 premiere. She also starred in her own spin-off series Bethenny Ever After for three seasons from 2010–2012 and Bethenny & Fredrik for one season in 2018. Additionally, she hosted the Fox daytime talk show Bethenny from 2013–2014 and the HBO Max reality competition series The Big Shot with Bethenny in 2021. Frankel is the founder of Skinnygirl, a lifestyle brand, and BStrong, a disaster relief initiative. She has authored four self-help books and is actively involved in podcasting and YouTube. Frankel was born to Robert J. Frankel, a horse trainer, and Bernadette Birk, an interior designer.
