Bob Hoskins

Robert William Hoskins (26 October 1942 – 29 April 2014) was an English actor and film director. Best known for his intense portrayals of 'tough guy' characters, he gained recognition for his role as Arthur Parker in the 1978 BBC television serial 'Pennies from Heaven'. This marked the beginning of a successful career that included lead roles in films like 'The Long Good Friday' (1980), 'Mona Lisa' (1986), 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' (1988), and 'Mermaids' (1990).
