Brad Whitford
Bradley Ernest Whitford (born February 23, 1952) is an American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the rhythm guitarist for the hard rock band Aerosmith, for which he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Whitford has co-composed tracks like 1976's 'Last Child' that have been well-received by fans. Before joining Aerosmith in 1971, he played in local bands such as Cymbals of Resistance, Teapot Dome, Earth, Inc., and Justin Thyme. In 1981, Whitford left Aerosmith to work on his own project with singer Derek St. Holmes, called Whitford/St. Holmes. Whitford graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1970 and attended the Berklee College of Music.
