Brian L. Friedman (born May 28, 1977) is an American dancer and choreographer. He has created choreography for popular music artists including Britney Spears, Cher, Beyoncé Knowles, and Mariah Carey. Friedman was born in Highland Park, Illinois, United States and is Jewish. He began dancing at the age of 11 in Scottsdale, Arizona and appeared in dance shows such as Newsies and Kids Incorporated. By 16, he owned his own dance studio. Friedman trained under Joe Tremaine, Kenny Ortega, Vince Patterson, and Twyla Tharp. He has worked with artists like Michael Jackson, Paula Abdul, Celine Dion, Melissa Etheridge, Salt N Pepa, and Patti LaBelle. Additionally, he has provided choreography for films like Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
