Brigitte Bako is a Canadian actress born on May 15, 1967, in Montreal, Quebec. She gained recognition for her role in the television series Red Shoe Diaries. Bako is also known for her work as a writer, producer, and actor in the adult comedy G-Spot. She received training from Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and worked with the Canadian National Shakespeare Company. Bako has appeared in various Hollywood productions, Canadian-made movies, and films produced in Canada by American filmmakers. She had her breakthrough in Martin Scorsese's New York Stories and went on to star alongside David Duchovny and Billy Wirth in Red Shoe Diaries, Benjamin Bratt and Michael Keaton in One Good Cop, and Ralph Fiennes in Strange Days. Bako has been nominated for a Genie Award for both Best Supporting Actress and Best Actress.
