    John Britt Daniel, born April 14, 1971, is an American musician. He is best known as the co-founder, lead singer, and guitarist of the indie rock band Spoon. Daniel is also a co-founder, guitarist, bassist, and singer of the band Divine Fits. Born in Galveston, Texas, Daniel grew up in Temple, Texas. He formed his first band, The Zygotes, in high school and later formed Skellington while studying at the University of Texas at Austin. Throughout his career, Daniel has been involved in various other musical projects. His talent and contributions have made him a prominent figure in the indie rock scene.
