Burt Kwouk Biography
Burt Kwouk (18 July 1930 – 24 May 2016) was a British actor known for his role as Cato in the Pink Panther films. Born in Warrington, Lancashire to Chinese parents, he was brought up in Shanghai and attended the Shanghai Jesuit Mission School. Kwouk left China in 1947 and completed his education in the United States, graduating from Bowdoin College in 1953. He made appearances in numerous television programmes, including Tenko, where he portrayed Imperial Japanese Army Major Yamauchi, and Last of the Summer Wine, where he played Entwistle. Kwouk's acting career spanned several decades and he is remembered for his iconic role in the Pink Panther series.
