Burt Reynolds Biography
Burt Reynolds (1936–2018) was an American actor, known for his roles in television series and films. He gained fame through series like Gunsmoke (1962–1965), Hawk (1966), and Dan August (1970–1971). Reynolds' breakthrough came with his role in the film Deliverance (1972) as Lewis Medlock. He went on to play leading roles in successful movies such as White Lightning (1973), The Longest Yard (1974), Smokey and the Bandit (1977), and The Cannonball Run (1981). Alongside acting, Reynolds also directed some of his films. Throughout his career, he received two Golden Globe nominations and was considered a sex symbol and icon of 1970s American popular culture.
