Calum Thomas Hood (born January 25, 1996) is an Australian musician and actor. He is best known as the bassist and a vocalist for the pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. Hood's musical career took off in 2011 when he joined the band, and since then, 5 Seconds of Summer has achieved immense success, selling over 10 million albums and selling more than two million concert tickets worldwide. Hood was born and raised in Mount Druitt, New South Wales, and comes from a middle-class family. He is of Scottish and Cook Island Māori descent. Hood has a younger sister who is a singer-songwriter. In addition to his musical pursuits, Hood has also made appearances in various TV shows and movies.
