Casper Van Dien Biography
Casper Robert Van Dien Jr. (born December 18, 1968) is an American actor best known for his lead role as Johnny Rico in the 1997 science-fiction action film Starship Troopers. He has appeared in numerous television and film roles, including daytime and primetime soap operas, as well as TV movies and direct-to-video films. Van Dien was born and raised in Milton, Florida, and comes from a military family background. His father was a U.S. Navy Commander and fighter pilot, and his grandfather served as a Marine in World War II. Van Dien's family has a long-standing Dutch heritage, along with Swedish, French, and English ancestry.
