Cassidy Freeman

Cassidy Freeman (born April 22, 1982) is an American actress and musician. She gained recognition for her roles as Tess Mercer in The CW's Smallville, Amber Gemstone in HBO's The Righteous Gemstones, Sage Maria Mikaelson in The Vampire Diaries, and Cady Longmire in A&E's Longmire. Freeman was born in Chicago, Illinois, and is the youngest of four children. She has appeared in various shorts, feature films, and television series. Notably, she starred in the thriller film YellowBrickRoad and played Veronica Sharpe in the award-winning short film Razor Sharp. In September 2008, Freeman became a regular cast member on Smallville as Tess Mercer, a role she portrayed after the departure of Michael Rosenbaum's Lex Luthor.
