Catherine Schell (born Katherina Freiin Schell von Bauschlott, 17 July 1944) is a Hungarian-born actress who gained prominence in British film and television during the 1960s. Known for her versatile performances, Schell is recognized for her roles in various notable productions. She portrayed the Bond girl Nancy in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), Lady Claudine Litton in The Return of the Pink Panther (1975), Countess Scarlioni in the Doctor Who serial City of Death (1979), and had a recurring role as Maya in Series Two of the television series Space: 1999 (1975). Born into a family of Hungarian aristocracy, Schell and her family fled Hungary and found asylum in Austria before eventually settling in the United Kingdom.
