Carol Christine Hilaria Pounder, known as CCH Pounder, is a Guyanese-born American actress. She has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards for her notable roles in The X-Files, ER, The Shield, and The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Pounder has portrayed various characters in popular TV shows such as Dr. Angela Hicks in ER, Captain Claudette Wyms in The Shield, Irene Frederic in Warehouse 13, and District Attorney Tyne Patterson in Sons of Anarchy. From 2014 to 2021, she played the role of medical examiner Dr. Loretta Wade in NCIS: New Orleans.
