Cedric Antonio Kyles, better known as Cedric the Entertainer, is an American stand-up comedian, television host, producer, actor, and author. Born on April 24, 1964, in Caruthersville, Missouri, Cedric gained recognition as the host of BET's ComicView and Def Comedy Jam. He rose to prominence co-starring with Steve Harvey on The WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show and as one of The Original Kings of Comedy. Cedric is also known for his role as Eddie Walker in Barbershop and for hosting the 12th season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He has provided voice work for several animated films, including Ice Age, Madagascar, and Planes. Currently, Cedric stars on the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2019.
