Charles Kelley

Charles Kelley is an American musician and lead singer of the country music trio Lady A. Born on September 11, 1981, in Augusta, Georgia, Kelley began his musical career at the age of 11. Alongside his older brother, Josh Kelley, he formed a band called Inside Blue, which gained attention from a major label. In middle school, Kelley met Dave Haywood, and together they wrote their first song at the age of 14. Kelley attended the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and graduated with a degree in finance in 2004. He co-founded Lady A in 2006 and signed with Big Machine Records.
