In 2011, Puth signed with the record label eleveneleven after appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He began writing and producing songs for other artists while continuing his own music career. Puth later signed with Atlantic Records and Artist Partner Group, releasing his debut single 'Marvin Gaye' featuring Meghan Trainor in 2015. He gained further recognition with his feature on Wiz Khalifa's 'See You Again,' reaching number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 and earning him a Golden Globe Award nomination. Puth released his debut album 'Nine Track Mind' in 2016.
