Cheri Oteri
Cheri Oteri, born Cheryl Ann Oteri on September 19, 1962, is an American actress and comedian. Best known for her time on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live from 1995 to 2000, Oteri received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her work. She has Italian ancestry and is the daughter of Gaetano Thomas Oteri. Before her SNL fame, Oteri worked at A&M Records for four years and was a member of the renowned comedy troupe The Groundlings. Producers of SNL discovered her during a performance when she was accompanying fellow Groundlings member Chris Kattan. Oteri's notable impersonations on the show included Alanis Morissette and Barbara Walters.
