Chris Shields

Chris Shields (born 27 December 1990) is an Irish professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Linfield in the Irish Premiership. He began his career with Bray Wanderers, where he played for four seasons before joining Dundalk. Shields spent over nine seasons with Dundalk, winning five Premier Division medals and three FAI Cups. He was also a regular participant in European competitions, helping Dundalk reach the group stage of the Europa League in both 2016 and 2020. Shields, a native of Clondalkin, started his youth career with St Francis before moving to Bray Wanderers' U20 team. He made his senior League of Ireland debut in 2008.
