Cree Summer

Cree Summer Francks, born on July 7, 1969, is an American actress and singer. She has made a name for herself in the world of animation, lending her voice to memorable characters like Susie Carmichael in Rugrats and Elmyra Duff in Tiny Toon Adventures. Summer has also appeared in popular shows such as Inspector Gadget, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Codename: Kids Next Door, Danny Phantom, Drawn Together, and Puppy Dog Pals. In live-action, she is best known for her role as Winifred 'Freddie' Brooks in the NBC sitcom A Different World from 1987 to 1993. Born in Los Angeles, Summer grew up in Saskatchewan and Toronto, Canada. She comes from a family of actors, with her parents being Canadian actors Don Francks and Lili 'Red Eagle' Francks. Summer's younger brother, Rainbow Sun Francks, is also an actor.
