Hannah Dakota Fanning is an American actress born on February 23, 1994. She gained recognition at a young age for her role as Lucy Dawson in the 2001 film I Am Sam, earning a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination at just eight years old. Fanning went on to star in several notable films as a child actress, including Uptown Girls (2003), The Cat in the Hat (2003), Man on Fire (2004), and War of the Worlds (2005).
