Dan McGrath is an American television writer, educator and stage director. He is known for his work as a writer/producer for several popular TV series including The Simpsons, Saturday Night Live, King of the Hill, Gravity Falls, and Mission Hill. McGrath has been recognized for his contributions, receiving an Emmy nomination for his work on Saturday Night Live and later winning an Emmy for his work on The Simpsons. He was also nominated for a Writers Guild Award for the show 'Life: A Loser's Manual'. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, McGrath attended Regis High School and Harvard University, where he studied Chinese and Japanese history and politics. He graduated with honors and was actively involved with writing, editing, and cartooning for The Harvard Lampoon.
