Daniel Durant

Daniel N. Durant (born December 24, 1989) is an American stage and screen actor. He gained recognition for his breakthrough role as Moritz Stiefel in the 2015 Broadway revival of Spring Awakening. In 2021, Durant had a significant supporting role in the Academy Award-winning film CODA. He and the cast received accolades for their outstanding performance, including the Special Jury Award for Ensemble Cast at the Sundance Film Festival and the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Durant also made notable television appearances, notably in the ABC Family series Switched at Birth (2013–2017). Born deaf in Detroit, Michigan, Durant overcame challenges and has become a celebrated figure in the entertainment industry.
