Darren Gilshenan is an Australian actor and writer. He gained recognition for his roles in popular television series such as The Moodys, Maximum Choppage, Chandon Pictures, and Full Frontal. Born and raised in Brisbane, Gilshenan discovered his passion for acting at a young age while participating in a Gang Show as a Boy Scout. He pursued his dream by graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1988. Alongside his acting career, Gilshenan has taught at prestigious institutions such as Australian Theatre For Young People, Bell Shakespeare, and NIDA. He began his acting career with guest roles in A Country Practice and Police Rescue before becoming a series regular and writer on Full Frontal and Totally Full Frontal.
