Daveed Diggs

Daveed Diggs (born January 24, 1982) is an American actor, rapper, and singer-songwriter. He gained recognition for originating the dual roles of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson in the musical Hamilton, earning him a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical in 2016. Diggs is also the vocalist of the experimental hip hop group Clipping. Following his time in Hamilton, he appeared in the television series Black-ish from 2016 to 2018 and starred in films such as Wonder (2017), Velvet Buzzsaw (2019), and The Little Mermaid (2023). In 2018, Diggs wrote, produced, and starred in the film Blindspotting, receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Male Lead. He also created, wrote, and executive produced the spin-off sequel television series of the same name in 2021.
