David Mandel (born 1970) is a multi-talented writer, actor, director, and producer. He is best known for his work as an executive producer and showrunner of the hit political comedy series Veep. Mandel has also made significant contributions to other popular sitcoms, including Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld, where he served as an executive producer and director. In addition to his work in television, Mandel has showcased his comedic talent as a writer for Saturday Night Live and as one of the producer-directors of the teen-comedy film EuroTrip. He has also made a name for himself as an author, co-writing the screenplay for the 2003 film adaptation of The Cat in the Hat and being one of the authors of Star Wars Art: Ralph McQuarrie.
