Dean Stockwell (March 5, 1936 – November 7, 2021) was an American actor known for his extensive career spanning seven decades. He gained early fame as a child actor under contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, appearing in notable films like Anchors Aweigh (1945), Song of the Thin Man (1947), and The Boy with Green Hair (1948). As a young adult, he showcased his talent in films such as Compulsion (1959), Long Day's Journey into Night (1962), and Sons and Lovers (1960), earning critical acclaim and accolades, including two Best Actor Awards at the Cannes Film Festival.
