Deborah Mary Peterson, born on August 22, 1961, is an American musician known for her role as the drummer of the band The Bangles. Notably, she provided lead vocals on the band's singles 'Going Down to Liverpool' in 1984 and 'Be with You' in 1989. Peterson, the younger sister of Vicki Peterson, a fellow member of The Bangles, formed her first band during high school. Following the band's breakup in 1990, she pursued a solo career and later formed the duo Kindred Spirit with Siobhan Maher. Outside of her music endeavors, Peterson has been married to sound engineer Steven Botting since 1989 and has two children.
