American Pastoral

American Pastoral is a 2016 American crime-drama film directed by Ewan McGregor and based on the novel of the same name by Philip Roth. The story follows a man named Swede Levov whose perfect life starts to crumble when his daughter becomes involved in political activism. The film stars McGregor, Jennifer Connelly, Dakota Fanning, and more. It had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival and was released in the United States in October 2016.
