Deep Roy, born Gurdeep Roy on December 1, 1957, is a Kenyan-British actor, puppeteer, and stuntman. Standing at 132 cm tall, Roy has often been cast in diminutive roles in movies and TV shows, such as Teeny Weeny in The NeverEnding Story, the Oompa-Loompas in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Keenser in Star Trek. He has also appeared in popular TV series like The X-Files, Doctor Who, and Eastbound & Down. Born in Nairobi to Indian parents, Roy studied accounting in London before pursuing a career in entertainment. He started as a stand-up comic in local cabaret clubs and made his screen acting debut in 1976. He is widely recognized for his diverse roles in both film and television.
