Demi Patricia Singleton (born February 27, 2007) is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She gained recognition for her roles in the crime TV series Godfather of Harlem and as the young Serena Williams in the biographical film King Richard. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Singleton's family hails from Honduras and Dominica. At the age of three, she moved to New York City where she received training in music, dance, and acting from renowned teachers. Singleton has studied classical ballet since the age of three and plays the cello. She attended a music conservatory in Brooklyn for six years, honing her skills and learning to play instruments by ear. Inspired by a Broadway musical featuring child performers, Singleton decided to pursue a career as a stage performer. She made her acting debut in 2017 and later appeared on Broadway.
