Diane Neal (born November 17, 1976) is an American actress best known for her role as New York Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak in the television series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from 2003 to 2012. She also portrayed Coast Guard Investigative Service Special Agent Abigail Borin in the NCIS franchise. Neal was born in Alexandria, Virginia and raised in Littleton, Colorado and Ohio. After graduating from Littleton's Heritage High School, she pursued a career as a model before returning to education. Neal attended Harvard University's Extension School and graduated with an associate degree in 2018. She began her acting career as a guest star on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
