Diego Calva

Diego Calva Hernández is a Mexican actor known for his roles in various film and television projects. Born on 16 March 1992 in Mexico City, Calva attended the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, where he studied directing and screenwriting. Before pursuing acting, he worked in different roles behind the scenes, including catering, set dressing, and production assistance. Calva gained recognition for his lead role in the independent film 'I Promise You Anarchy' (2015), directed by Julio Hernández Cordón, which premiered at the Locarno International Film Festival and screened at the Toronto International Film Festival. He received critical acclaim and a Best Lead Actor award at the 2015 Havana Film Festival. Recently, Calva starred in the crime drama series 'Narcos: Mexico' (2021) and the period comedy film 'Babylon' (2022), earning a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.
