Don Rickles
Donald Jay Rickles (May 8, 1926 – April 6, 2017) was an American stand-up comedian and actor. Known for his insult comedy, Rickles gained fame for his distinctive comedic style. He appeared in several films including Run Silent, Run Deep (1958), Enter Laughing (1967), Kelly's Heroes (1970), and Casino (1995). Rickles also had notable television roles, starring in the NBC sitcom C.P.O. Sharkey from 1976 to 1978. He previously headlined two eponymous half-hour programs, The Don Rickles Show (1968) and The Don Rickles Show (1972). Rickles was a frequent guest on talk and variety shows such as The Dean Martin Show, The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and The Late Show with David Letterman. He also lent his voice to the character Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise. Rickles received a Primetime Emmy Award for the 2007 documentary Mr. Warmth.
