Donald Jay Fagen (born January 10, 1948) is an American musician, best known as the co-founder, lead singer, co-songwriter, and keyboardist of the band Steely Dan. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey to Jewish parents and grew up in Fair Lawn before moving to Kendall Park. Fagen formed Steely Dan in the early 1970s with Walter Becker, and the band achieved great success with hits like 'Rikki Don't Lose That Number' and 'Do It Again'. Fagen has also released four solo albums, including The Nightfly in 1982. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 as a member of Steely Dan.
