Virgil Runnels

Virgil Riley Runnels Jr., better known as 'the American Dream' Dusty Rhodes, was an American professional wrestler, booker, and trainer. Born on October 11, 1945, Rhodes gained fame for his work in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and the World Wrestling Federation (later known as WWE). Known for his everyman persona and charismatic personality, Rhodes won numerous championships during his career, including three-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion and United States Heavyweight Champion. He also held multiple World Television, World Tag Team, and World Six-Man Tag Team Championships. Rhodes is recognized as one of the most influential wrestlers in history and has been inducted into the WWE, WCW, Professional Wrestling, and Wrestling Observer Newsletter Halls of Fame. His sons, Dustin and Cody, have followed in his footsteps and are currently active in professional wrestling.
