Edward Peel Biography
Edward Peel is an English television and stage actor. With a career spanning over 40 years, Peel has become a familiar face on television. He trained as an actor at Rose Bruford College. Some of his notable television roles include Lennie in The Sweeney episode 'Bait' (1978), Pieterzoon in Shogun (1980), and Ted Turton in Minder episode 'Broken Arrow' (1982). Peel has portrayed police officers in ongoing episodes of Juliet Bravo (1983–1985) and Cracker (1993–1995). He also played two different roles in Emmerdale Farm (Tom Merrick: 1981-1982, Tony Cairns: 1997-1998). Doctor Who fans might recognize him as Kane, the main villain in the serial Dragonfire (1987). Peel has made appearances in Heartbeat, All Creatures Great and Small, and various other television shows.
