Efrem Zimbalist Jr. (1918-2014) was an American actor known for his roles in the TV series '77 Sunset Strip', 'The F.B.I.', and 'Maverick'. He also provided the voice of Alfred Pennyworth in the DC Animated Universe. Born in Brooklyn to renowned Russian-born violinist Efrem Zimbalist Sr. and Romanian-born operatic soprano Alma Gluck, Zimbalist had a successful career spanning several decades. He attended Fay School in Massachusetts and later boarded at St. Paul's School in New Hampshire. Zimbalist's parents converted to Anglican Christianity, and he grew up attending the Episcopal Church. With his contributions to the world of television and voice acting, Efrem Zimbalist Jr. left behind a lasting legacy.
