Ellie Kemper, born Elizabeth Claire Kemper on May 2, 1980, is an American actress and comedian. She gained recognition for her roles as Erin Hannon in the sitcom 'The Office' (2009–2013) and Kimmy Schmidt in the sitcom 'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' (2015–2019). Kemper has received multiple award nominations including Critics' Choice Movie Award, Critics' Choice Television Award, Primetime Emmy Award, Satellite Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. Aside from her television work, she has also appeared in notable films such as 'Bridesmaids' (2011), '21 Jump Street' (2012), 'Sex Tape' (2014), and 'Home Sweet Home Alone' (2021). In addition, Kemper is an author and released her debut book, 'My Squirrel Days,' in 2018. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri and comes from a wealthy family as her father is the executive chairman of Commerce Bancshares.
