Frank Blake

Francis Stanton Blake, born on July 30, 1949, is an American businessman and lawyer. He is best known for his role as the chairman and CEO of The Home Depot from January 2007 to May 2014. Prior to his time at The Home Depot, Blake worked for the U.S. Department of Energy and General Electric, where he was mentored by Robert Nardelli. Blake attended Brooks School and obtained his bachelor's degree from Harvard University in 1971, followed by a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in 1976. He married Anne McChristian in 1977, with whom he has two children, and later married Elizabeth Lanier (Blake). His son, Frank Jr., also worked at Home Depot and currently serves as the General Manager in the Atlanta region for the company.
