Renowned for his innovative and distinctive designs, Gehry has created several iconic buildings, including his private residence in Santa Monica, California. His works are highly regarded in the field of contemporary architecture and he has been hailed as the most important architect of our age. In addition to his architectural achievements, Gehry is also the designer of the National Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial. Born in Toronto to Russian and Polish Jewish immigrant parents, Gehry's passion for creativity was nurtured by his grandmother, Leah Caplan, who encouraged his artistic pursuits from a young age.
