Gavin Rossdale (born 30 October 1965) is an English musician, best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the rock band Bush. He helped form Bush in 1992 and became the lead singer and guitarist for Institute when the band separated in 2002. Rossdale later embarked on a solo career before reuniting with Bush in 2010. In addition to his musical accomplishments, Rossdale received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement in 2013. Born in Marylebone, London, Rossdale is the son of Barbara Stephan and Douglas Rossdale. He was educated at Westminster School and also had a pop band called Midnight in the 1980s.
