George DiCenzo (1940-2010) was an American actor known for his extensive film, TV, stage, and commercial credits. He had a career in show business for over 30 years, appearing in more than 30 feature films and numerous television shows. DiCenzo notably played Marty's grandfather Sam Baines in the film Back to the Future and had a minor role in The Exorcist III. Some of his other film credits include Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Choirboys, The Frisco Kid, and The Ninth Configuration. On television, he appeared in shows like Hotel and played A. Bartlett Giamatti in the television movie Hustle.
