    Gerard Peter O'Brien (born 12 November 1942) is a former Irish first-class cricketer. Born in Dublin, County Down, O'Brien was educated at O'Connell School. He played as a wicket-keeper for Malahide at club level and represented Ireland in two first-class cricket matches. His first match was against Scotland in Glasgow in 1976, and his second match was against the same opposition in Dublin in 1977. O'Brien scored a total of 22 runs across his two matches, with a high score of 11. Outside of cricket, he worked in the insurance industry.
